What is a Smile Makeover?
A "Hollywood Smile" or smile makeover is a comprehensive treatment plan designed to completely restore the aesthetics and function of your teeth. It usually involves a combination of Zirconia crowns, E-max veneers, and occasionally laser gum contouring.
The Timeline (Typically 5-7 Days)
- Day 1: Consultation and Preparation. You will have a physical exam, panoramic X-rays, and a consultation to design your new smile. The dentist will then prepare (shave) the teeth and fit you with temporary acrylic teeth.
- Day 2-3: Laboratory Fabrication. You are free to relax and enjoy the city while the laboratory uses CAD/CAM technology to mill your custom porcelain or zirconia teeth.
- Day 4: The Rehearsal. You will try on the permanent teeth. The dentist will check the bite, fit, and aesthetic. If any adjustments are needed for color or shape, the teeth go back to the lab.
- Day 5-6: Final Fitting. Once you are 100% satisfied with the look, the teeth are permanently cemented into place.
Designing the Smile
You have full control over the shade and shape. While the "BL1" ultra-white shade is popular, many patients opt for more natural white shades (BL2 or BL3) to achieve a realistic, bright smile that doesn't look artificial.
