Beyond the Instagram Before & Afters
While impressive photos on social media are a good starting point, they are not proof of medical competency. When choosing a surgeon in Turkiye, you must verify their credentials through official channels.
What to Look For
- TSAPS Membership: Ensure the surgeon is a registered member of the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (TSAPS).
- ISAPS Membership: Membership in the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) indicates adherence to global safety protocols.
- European Board Certification: Many elite Turkish surgeons hold certification from the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS).
The Difference Between a Clinic and a Surgeon
Medical tourism agencies often market the "clinic brand" rather than the individual doctor. You have the right to know exactly who will be holding the scalpel. Always demand the full name and CV of your specific surgeon before paying a deposit.
